Bio
Blue-eyed Ophelie Kleerekoper-Winter was born February 20, 1974, in Boulogne, France. Her father was a famous 70's Dutch pop singer, while her mother was a French fashion model (she's presently her agent). Born into a family of celebrities and talent (her older brother is a musician as well), Winter knew at a young age that she wanted to be famous.
Winter moved to the United States to be close to her father after her parents divorced when she was just 2 years old. She had a love for the American language as well as American men, as she had many boyfriends in the U.S. It was in the States that Winter studied dance, singing, music, and comedy. She left for Paris at the age of 17 where she lived with her mother and brother. She was discovered by a modeling agent while on Paris' Champs Elysées and after three years of modeling, she knew she wanted to be a singer and an actress.
Winter found herself in the music studio after a friend of her father's, who was also a singer, was looking for a young female to join him in a duet. He suggested she give it a try and next thing she knew, she was in the recording studio.
She became famous after having worked on television for three years. She starred in three French films, including Hommes, Femmes, Mode D'Emploi (Men, Women: A User's Manual) in 1996; Bouge! (Move!) and Tout Doit Disparaitre (Everything Must Go) in 1997 (she sang in the latter); and most recently, Folle D'Elle (Crazy About Her) in 1999.
In addition to Winter's film roles, she has two albums to add to her repertoire; No Soucy!, which her brother collaborated on; and Privacy. Said to be a perfectionist, Winter's passions include animals and playing the synthesizer. She owns a mare named Marzouck; a female dog by the name of Fanny; and four cats, named Scotty, Henry, Poly, and Goldy. She presently resides in Paris. In the rare spare time that she has, she enjoys skiing and going to her mother's country house and indulging in yoga every morning.
Winter will be seen this year in 2001: A Space Travesty.

Despite the jet-set lifestyle and occasional movie star status thrust upon her, she remains a very personable and friendly individual. Besides the occasional jealousy from her counterparts in France, Ophelie is well regarded by the press and her fans.

Famille: Elle est la fille de David Alexander Winter, un chanteur hollandais très connu dans les années 70, et de Cathy, ancien manequin, devenue aujourd'hui son agent. Ses parents se sont séparés quand elle avait 2 ans. Elle a un frère, Mickael, de deux ans son ainé, musicien et aussi chanteur, et qui a d'ailleurs participé à la réalisation de son album No Soucy.

Enfance, études: A la suite du divorce de ses parents, Ophélie quitte la Hollande pour venir vivre en France, en Normandie, puis à Paris avec sa mère et son frère.
Renvoyée de l'établissement Saint-James de Neuilly-sur-Seine en classe de première, elle est partie pour les Etats-Unis rejoindre son père, pour apprendre la danse, le chant, la musique, la comédie...

Débuts: "A 6 ans, j'ai sorti un disque pour les enfants, "Bob et Ophélie". Un chanteur, ami de mon père, cherchait une petite fille pour un duo. Quand il m'a vue, il m'a proposé d'essayer, et je me suis retrouvée en studio, puis sur scène. En 1992, j'ai rencontré deux producteurs, les frères Nakache. Le feeling est passé, et, un mois plus tard, j'étais en studio ! En même temps, j'étais mannequin, et c'est tout a qui a fait que je me suis retrouvée à la télé sur M6."

Premier job de mannequin: Elle a rencontré son agent sur les Champs-Elysées. Et elle a fait ce job pendant deux ans... le temps d'une histoire d'amour avec Maxwell Strery, un top model...

Cinéma: Ophélie a tourné dans quelques films :
Hommes Femmes mode d'emploi (réalisé par Lelouch) où elle apparait quelques minutes au bras de Bernard Tapie.
Tout doit disparaître: une comédie plutôt délirante. Bouge, qui raconte plus ou moins la vie d'Ophélie Winter avec Ophélie dans le rôle d'Ophélie... Folle d'elle, Ophélie décrit ce film comme le premier vrai film qu'elle ait tourné. Mais elle préfère en ce moment s'attacher à d'autres choses que le cinéma.

Qualités et défauts: gentille, entière, bosseuse et perfectionniste, forte et fragile à la fois.

Principale qualité: généreuse : Avec ses premiers cachets, elle a offert une guitare à son frère et un cheval à sa mère.

Principal défaut: un peu trop fonceuse.

Elle déteste: L'hypocrisie, la viande, se lever tôt.

Sports, loisirs: Elle n'a plus beaucoup le temps. Avant, elle faisait de la musculation, du ski et de l'équitation. Le matin, elle se contente de quelques mouvements de yoga, pour s'assouplir... Sinon, elle aime se retrouver entre amis et aller dans la maison de campagne de sa mère.

Ses animaux: Elle a une jument (Marzouck), une chienne (Fanny) qui lui a été offerte pour son un anniversaire il y a quelques années et quatre chats (Scotty, Henry, Poly et Goldy).

Secrets de beauté: Elle boit beaucoup d'eau, dort suffisamment, soigne sa peau, elle fait moins la fête qu'avant et passe son temps libre dans les instituts de beauté.
